Lowcountry Living-it's what I know

Deborah Ashman is a native Charlestonian. She was born in “the Holy City” and grew up at Folly Beach when it was a quiet, island community. She attended the College of Charleston then decided to join a major airline where she enjoyed a 10-year career as a flight attendant. This afforded her the opportunity to travel extensively, and to live in the large metropolitan cities of St. Louis, Chicago and Pittsburgh. But, her heart was always in her beloved lowcountry. In 1988, Deborah returned to Charleston, where she raised her two daughters in Mt Pleasant. She now resides on Johns Island enjoying boating, fresh seafood and living the lowcountry life.

After pursuing a successful career in sales, Deborah realized she could best utilize her extensive customer service skills and sales experience in the rapidly-growing Charleston real estate market. She became a licensed realtor in 2010. She is certified in Short Sale and Foreclosures and in her first year as a realtor, Deborah received the Rising Star Award from Carolina One. This is given to first year realtors who produce a certain level of sales. Additionally, she has been a member of the Top Producers Club of East Cooper as well as Top Producers Club of Charleston and received the Realtor of Distinction Award from Trident Association of Realtors.  Since the beginning her hard work has been awarded each year by Carolina One Real Estate.

Deborah’s native familiarity with and love of the lowcountry are great assets that she has to offer clients wishing to relocate here. She also welcomes the opportunity to assist homeowners in marketing and selling their home. Deborah performs thorough research to help her clients make sound buying and selling decisions. Her strong negotiating and communication skills give clients confidence that she goes after the best deals possible. Many of her clients are return customers, and she receives numerous referrals from clients, which has kept her busy and productive. She has found that relationship selling has given her the greatest satisfaction; making new friends and helping old friends is what defines a giving realtor.

Deborah worked out of the Mt. Pleasant North, Carolina One office for seven years which is one of Carolina One’s highest production offices in the company. After moving to Johns Island, she now works out of the West Islands Carolina One office located on Folly Road.  If you have questions about a specific area in Charleston, please contact Deborah. She would love to help you and your family with all your real estate needs.
